AVOID THE TAXI DRIVERS IN FRONT OF THE MAIN RAILWAY STATION, THE PETRŽALKA RAILWAY STATION AND THE AIRPORT AT ALL COSTS! ALSO, DON'T FORGET TO BUY YOUR BUS TICKET.
FROM THE MOST SNP TERMINAL
If you are coming by bus from Vienna (Flixbus, RegioJet or Slovak Lines), you should get off at the MOST SNP bus terminal. The bus stop is not even 100 meters away from our meeting point.
FROM THE BUS STATION NIVY
If you are coming by bus from Budapest or Prague (Flixbus, RegioJet, etc.), walk out of the mall to the bus stop KOŠICKÁ or the bus stop AUTOBUSOVÁ STANICA in front of the mall exits on “Mlynské nivy” street (don’t cross the road). Take bus line 70 to its last stop MOST SNP (5/4 stops), less than 100 meters away from our meeting point.
FROM THE PETRŽALKA RAILWAY STATION
Arriving by train from Vienna to the Petržalka station, just walk down the stairs and through the underpass towards “Panónska cesta” street. Exiting the underpass, cross the road to the bus stop STN. PETRŽALKA and take bus line 91/191 to its last stop MOST SNP (3 stops). This bus stop is not even 100 meters away from our meeting point. Alternatively, ride bus line 93/94 to the bus stop PRI SADE (3 stops) and change for bus line 88 to its last stop MOST SNP (1 stop).
Another option is to walk to the bus stop STN. PETRŽALKA in front of the station building, take bus line 80 to the bus stop PRI SADE (4 stops) and change for bus line 88/91/191 to its last stop MOST SNP (1 stop).
FROM THE MAIN RAILWAY STATION
Arriving by train from Vienna, Prague or Budapest to the Main station (Hlavná stanica), go down the escalators to the far left as you are leaving the station building. Take tram line 1 and exit at the tram stop MOST SNP (8 stops), less than 100 meters away from our meeting point.
Another option is to walk to the bus terminal in front of the station building and ride bus line 93 to the bus stop ZOCHOVA (3 stops). From there, walk on “Židovská” street along the highway towards the SNP Bridge (UFO). The bus stop is about 700 meters away from our meeting point.
FROM THE RIVER BANK
If you are visiting Bratislava by boat leaving from Vienna (Twin City Liner), the wharf is merely 200 meters away from our meeting point.
FROM THE AIRPORT
Landing in Bratislava by plane, go to the bus stop in front of the airport terminal and ride bus line 61 to the bus stop TRNAVSKÉ MÝTO. Walk down the stairs to the underpass and up again to the tram stop. Take tram line 4 to the tram stop MOST SNP, merely 100 meters away from our meeting point.
DON'T FORGET TO BUY YOUR BUS TICKET
For most of the connections, a 30-minute transferable ticket for 0.90€ is sufficient (for the airport connection we strongly recommend a 60-minute transferable ticket for 1.30€). The tickets can be purchased in the yellow ticket machines on the bus/tram stops and you have to validate it immediately after boarding the vehicle.
Another option is to tap your credit card at one of the validating machines immediately after boarding the vehicle. There is no need to press anything, just tap your card and wait for the approval of your payment. The charge is 1€ and you can use that particular vehicle for 45 minutes. Within this time frame, you can make one extra transfer and use the next vehicle until its last stop. Entering the second vehicle, you have to tap your credit card again, free of charge. This is a good option for the airport connection or in case you don’t carry any change.
The last option is to download the IDS BK App where you can buy your tickets with a 10% discount. You have to have your ticket purchased and ready before you enter the vehicle!
